Via Ferrata in Ardèche

13 tree climbing courses + 1 Via Ferrata course

Ardèche and Gard are particularly suited for outdoor sports.
Canyoning, canoeing, and spelunking are just a few activities you can enjoy during your stay in southern Ardèche, for example.

But have you heard of Via Ferrata? This activity combines climbing techniques with elements of a ropes course, allowing you to traverse along the cliff on a series of fixtures (cables, suspension bridges, zip lines, etc…) for a unique and adventurous experience.

Adventure Camp is fortunate to be bordered by the Chassezac River and its cliffs.

To complement our tree climbing offer, we’ve created a Via Ferrata course.

This course is accessible from the forest via a giant 400-meter zip line overlooking the river.

After a short descent into a cave, using spelunking steps, you can progress at your own pace along the wall, experiencing new sensations of a much more mineral climb.

Your questions,
our answers

As you may have guessed, with its ideal geographical location in Grospierres, just a few kilometers from Vallon Pont d’Arc, Gard, Les Vans, Rosières, or Ruoms, Adventure Camp is sure to meet your desires for thrills and adventure!

In addition to our 17 tree climbing courses, come and discover our unique Via Ferrata course.

At Adventure Camp, Via Ferrata is accessible from the age of 12, for everyone, subject to height requirements (minimum 1.40 meters).

Our Via Ferrata is entirely accessible to beginners.

After receiving general instructions, a monitor will provide you with specific information about this course. Thus, you have all the necessary indications to have a good time!

At Adventure Camp, Via Ferrata is not supervised but monitored.

You progress independently on the cliff, under the watchful eye of a monitor stationed on the beach. Thus, they will not hesitate to encourage, congratulate, and provide advice if needed.

The Via Ferrata package gives you access to 13 tree climbing courses, in addition to the course on the cliff.

To complete the entire package, you should allow approximately 4 hours of activity. The Via Ferrata course on the cliff itself lasts about 45 minutes. As with tree climbing, the package is unlimited.

You can therefore repeat the courses as many times as you like and stay at Adventure Camp for as long as you want.

Just like for tree climbing, for Via Ferrata, the most important thing is to wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather.

Shorts or pants, t-shirt or light jacket, it’s up to you.
And in any case, wear closed-toe shoes like sneakers.
Don’t forget to pack a swimsuit in your backpack for a refreshing swim at the end of the day ;) and of course, a water bottle.

Ardèche is a land of natural playgrounds.

At Adventure Camp, we offer a whole range of activities, whether they are up in the trees with tree climbing, require finesse and precision with paintball, gellyball, archery tag, or outdoor laser tag, or require reflection with our various escape games. As you can see, there’s something for everyone!

Of course! Tree climbing and Via Ferrata are absolutely compatible with a few raindrops.
